OAKENFOLD TO PREMIERE "CELEBRATION" SINGLE AT PACHA IN IBIZA TONIGHT
PERFECTO VEGAS TOPS THE CHARTS, PALMS RESIDENCY EXTENDED TIL 2010 + NEW ALBUM IN THE WORKS
Celebration Madonnas Greatest Hits CD is to include two new songs recently recorded in New York City. The first single, also titled, “Celebration,” co-produced by Madonna and Paul Oakenfold, will be released August 3rd. Paul will be debuting the "Celebration" single at Pacha in Ibiza this weekend.
Out now is Paul's current release Perfecto Vegas, a double CD consisting of 21 exclusive tracks, hand selected and mixed by Oakenfold. The set focuses on the less pop leaning, “classic Oakenfold” sound that core fans have been begging for since his Grammy-nominated 2004 release, Creamfields.
Digital sales of the album beat the late and legendary Michael Jackson to the #1 spot on iTunes’ dance chart and #1 on the Amazon digital album chart and regardless of his busy world-tour schedule (crossing 25 countries in just over two months, including opening up for Madonna on all of her “Sticky & Sweet” UK and European dates), Paul continues to work on his original studio album Pop Killer, slated for release next year featuring Cee-Lo and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
