So i'm just about to book up for labor Day weekend n September to come ALL the way from Scotland to see Oakie play - anyone got any other tips on stuff to see/do in vegas that won't break the bank? Also heading to LA for a week to chill but no idea where we are going stay yet!
Any advice would be good guys! You know I love you all for it :)

Hey Nikki! I will also be in Vegas for Labor Day Weekend! You are more than welcome to come join us at Wet Republic for the pool party (and hint hint, another awesome DJ will be making an appearance there, I wouldn't miss it)! We'll be making the club rounds that whole weekend and livin it up! Staying at the palms is a great call! Such an awesome place! As far as LA is concerned, so much fun every night of the week! If you want some solid house music nights I would recommend Hyde on Thursday and Foxtail on Sunday...word on the street is is that Playhouse is getting ready to launch a house music night as well in a few weeks and as it is Playhouse is a MUST in Hollywood right now!
Thanks guys this is great!
Gonna stay at the palms - if your gonna do it - do it in style!!!

Since you are coming to Vegas, I would suggest you get on guestlists. Start to network on MySpace. I have a guy on my list that my out of town friends use. The guestlist can usually comp ladies and sometimes guys depending on the girl to guy ratio. But if anything, at least you'll be in the shorter guestlist line. You can also stay in some of the "older" hotels which aren't as nice, but they are a heck of alot cheaper. There are alot of free shows on the the strip. Alot of times, you can get 2 for 1 vouchers on meals, shows, etc. Also, you can play the penny slots and get free drinks while you sit there. My fav is Hard Rock Hotel. Also, before you get here google the nearest liquor store and stock up so that you can drink in your room before you go out. But remember, don't get too drunk or they won't let you in the club. Let me know if you need anymore info or maybe contacts of promoters that we use. We go out every weekend in Vegas & I'm a Vegas native so I know! Just send me a message ( :
You must get GPS, the road system is crazy. Get a convertable and live large, weather should be nice this time of year, but not a big deal if you don't.
Universal Studios Hollywood - Great tour and attraction about the movie business
Hollywood Blvd - Best place to start is Hollywood and Vine, you will want to park and walk
Sunset strip from Hollywood to Beverly Hills
Rodeo Drive - Fancy shops, fancy people
Venice Beach - People watching and plenty of ladies
Getty Museum - Free and amazing view of the city and ocean
Santa Monica Third Street Promenade - Downtown Santa Monica's shopping promenade is often the scene of movie star-sightings.
That should keep you busy. Any more questions email my personal address at kevin@mediacastle.com
Which hotel are you staying, how old are you. I might have some more tips.
